The Mac and Windows apps include audio, video, recording and transcription. In addition to the web features, you can paste an online video link to download it or extract just the audio. Open the “Scarica dai siti” (Download from websites) tab in the app: it works with YouTube and other supported sites, within the limits set by each platform.
The apps also include voice/music separation. The basic engines are bundled; transcription and separation models download only when you choose.

Desktop transcription uses Whisper Large v3: about 3.1 GB, available through the download button in the app. The voice/music separation engine may need over 1 GB. Once downloaded, they run on your computer without subscriptions. Instructions and requirements (Italian) · Download integrity.
Why I made it
I needed one tool.
I was opening ten.
One site to download a video from YouTube or social media. Another to convert audio, another for video. Then one for transcription. Each time, I started searching all over again, while time slipped away.
Often, as soon as I found something that worked, I hit a limit. Without internet, I couldn't do anything. So I'd look for an application with the same features, only to find subscriptions, limited editions and free tools that soon became paid. It grew frustrating.
So I made Statico Converter with Codex: one tool with what I need, for my Mac. This web edition brings audio conversion, videos up to 30 minutes long, microphone recording and transcription into the browser. Your files stay on your device: the browser downloads the engine when needed and does the work there.
